CEYLON SPECIALIZED COLLECTION 1857-1950 hundreds of mint and used stamps arranged by SG order on blank album pages with strength in Victoria through George V issues. The collection starts with a page of used SG #1, 2, 2a, 3, 3a and 5 from the first issue. The perforated issues of 1861 to 1865 are similarly well represented. Virtually every stamp throughout the collection is identified by SG# and often there are additional notes concerning colors, perforations or other information. Beginning with the issues of the 1880s, we start to see a number of mint stamps and quite often an inverted overprint, double overprint or similar item. In addition, we noted a selection of Specimen overprints scattered among the later Victoria issues. Just before the start of Edward VII issues, the collection becomes primarily mint and includes many items in the £20 to £50 range and includes #277-88. Among the George V issues, the collection is replete with SG varieties including paper and Dies. IRELAND COLLECTION a solid mint &: used collection housed in three albums. Including a study of the errors of the overprints with an extraordinary ‘1322’ for ‘1922’ on the 2 pence KGV used on piece, followed by another o/p again used on piece with ‘1022’ for ‘1922’, both have tremendous eye appeal. This is certainly is not ‘run of the mill’ material and includes other interesting items such as 1922 seahorses with 10/- mint Dollard, followed by various other o/p types inc Thom, leading through to the ‘blue blacks’ and red of 1922 etc. Then a very strong range from the 1930s onwards, this time mostly used including St Patrick’s to 10/-. Some of the better commemoratives here such as the 1916 uprising o/ps are mint never hinged. Few empty spaces follows with no doubt a high new issue cost including se-tenants, miniature sheets, booklets etc, through to the back of the book from the 1940s onwards. The second and third albums concentrate mostly on the modern and also has occasional sheetlets, even some useful postal history at the end. Another area present is a postmark collection from QV onwards with a methodical study, county for county, with some useful present particularly pre-independence and last century. A collection well worth viewing, much more here than described.Est. $1500-1800

TRINIDAD SPECIALIZED COLLECTION 1851-1909 hundreds of mint and used stamps mounted on blank album pages with extensive annotations pertaining to paper, watermarks, perforations and colors with most stamps identified by SG#. The collection actually begins with a hand-tinted Map printed in Paris in 1705 showing the entire Caribbean with each island color coded for the European power controlling the land, a fascinating record of history. The first page of stamps includes the issues of 1851 in mint singles and pairs followed by a page of the locally printed used issues of 1852-60 including SG# 15-16 and 19-20. An attractive page of mostly used issues of 1854-57 is succeeded by several pages of the Pin-perf issues of 1859. Among the issues of the 1860s we noted a color study of 1d Red of 1863 which is followed by two pages of Too-Late cnls on these same issues. Beginning with the issues of 1879 the collection is primarily mint with many items in the £50 to £100 range and includes SG# 71, 74, 76(2), 77, 113(4), 122(2) and 131. Although condition is a little mixed on the earliest material, the collector made a serious attempt to find the best quality available with the result that there is much Fine-VF material.[v]Est. $7000-10000

BRITISH COMMONWEALTH DEALER'S STOCK 1860-1960 two red file boxes containing a total of about 1500 selection cards of sets and singles from Victoria through early Elizabeth period. One file box is filled with material in the $5 to $25 range while the other box holds the better material in the $25 to $200 range. Among the better items, we noted value is about evenly divided between Victoria issues and 20th century material, and consequently condition is somewhat varied especially among the earlier material. Nonetheless, even a cursory glance will reveal substantial value in useful King Edward VII, George V, George VI and Elizabeth sets and singles. For example, we noted better mint such as Antigua 1913 5/ George V top value, 1953 Elizabeth set, Ascension 1938 George VI set, 1956 Elizabeth set, Australia 1949 Coat of Arms, Gibraltar 1953 Elizabeth set, St Lucia 1912 George V and 1949 George VI sets, St Kitts 1938 George VI set, St Vincent 1899 Victoria set, plus much, much more. The complete list would fill the entire page. A worthwhile group that is sure to please both the show dealer and eBay seller. Please reserve a block of time to review this material to fully appreciate the value.[v]Est. $6000-8000
